I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I thought I would share a little Autumn party food vignette I threw together for a little girls night I had at my home. When I think of fall, I think of crisp apples and comfort foods and I wanted to incorporate them into this little vignette.

I made little mini fresh blackberry pies, and oh my goodness were they good! I will share the recipe with you this week. They are so easy to make and are absolutely delicious.

I also used this fun slate cheese board from World Market to serve my different cheeses and crackers that I also found there. I added a couple of local cheeses as well. I love cheese, and it feels like such a special treat to serve a few different kinds that I usually don't eat very often.

I love the natural stone chalks that came with the slate cheese board. I can see myself using this for other things too. You know me... any excuse to doodle!

I made homemade sparkling cider to drink. It tastes a little bit different... maybe more apple-y... than Martinelli's, but it is really yummy and full of fall flavor. And I love the way it looks in my dispenser from World Market, with the apple slices in all of its Autumn loveliness.

I used my vintage plates and platters to display and serve. I also put my vintage napkins wrapped in jute rope in an old wooden hardware box on my vintage ice cream stool for anyone who needed one.

I also decided that I wanted to dress up the vignette with a little fall garland, so I made this baby. My sweet hubby actually came home from his hunting trip with these pinecones for me. I think it is so romantic.

Sparkling Cider Recipe and Fall Party Food Vignette (13)

After a little trial and error, I figured out the best way to hang the pinecones so they stay nice and straight. I also used burlap ribbon {see tutorial for how to make burlap ribbon here} as well as some other ribbon I had on hand to dress it up. I will be sharing the full tutorial for this pinecone garland later this week.
