The concept this week. 90% there means you are halfway there. In a recent interview for the new Bad Boys movie, Will Smith shared some insight that he received from a big-time producer. The producer said that when anything is "90% there", the remaining 10% is further away than you think. Thatās true. It takes a healthy level of discipline and awareness to recognize this. There are levels to execution at a high level. At each successive level you advance in whatever discipline you pursue, the cosmetic difference between those in the 95% and 98% percentiles is minimal. That said, the performance difference between the two can be captured in orders of magnitude. Think about the most pro sports. The difference between the practice squad player in the NFL or the 12th man on the bench in the NBA and the superstars in their respective leagues is usually minimal from a physical perspective. However, the superstars are a little more consistent and better in all facets of the game. That little difference plays and pays out in a world of difference. This week, letās claw away that little bit of difference, the nuances, the details, and all the seemingly small differences that can inch us closer to that upper 98% percentile. Itās worth it. Have a good week!#MusaMondays #MondayMotivationSide Note: Man U (my club) won the F.A. Final Cup as an underdog to Man City two weeks ago. I was told that the manager, Erik Ten Hag, played the Any Given Sunday speech to the team before the match, so I felt compelled to share it with you.**There are a few curse words in the speech** Al Pacino š

Any Given Sunday is a great movie. Old school coaching staff that wanted to win. A glimpse of the training, practices, and facilities. The reality of being able to enjoy what that pro sports city (job, region, city) has to offer, but it's up to the person to keep their consistency and goals in sight.

The concept this week. Bet on yourself. This past weekend, I attended a funeral. Nothing puts things into perspective like a funeral.Listening to someoneās eulogy, reading the program, and listening to the personal stories that people share will re-introduce me to someone at their funeral. Your lifeās work is your lifeās work. One of the most adventurous things you can do in life is live as honestly as you can. Honesty is a bet. As far as I can tell, itās the first step you take to believing in yourself. You seldom hear someone living a joyful life without living an honest life. An honest life is a bet on yourself, by my logic. Letās bet on ourselves and trust what weāre doing this week. Be honest about how weāre progressing and what we need to do to improve. Letās rock out this week! #MusaMondays #MondayMotivation #Honesty

The concept this week. Enthusiasm. This past weekend, I was fortunate to celebrate Motherās Day. A lot of my friends messaged me to wish my mom a happy Motherās Day. Most people who know me know my mom well enough to imitate how she says my name, āMy-Kah.ā Every morning, Sunday to Sunday, my mom would wake up at 4:00 a.m. and, without fail, come to my room at 5:00 a.m., knock on my door, and say, āMicahā¦ the day has started. Get up, son.ā She didnāt care if I had friends over; I had to get up and do something. Get going. It didnāt matter the day of the week; she had the same energy and enthusiasm. Get up, go, move. Her energy was infectious. Even my friends would get up and help me with chores in the morning after hearing her voice. Iām thankful for it. Enthusiasm is contagious and necessary.Letās attack this week with some enthusiasm. Have fun.#MusaMondays #MondayMotivation

The concept this week. They donāt print halftime scores in the paper. I was watching some of the draft this past weekend and I couldnāt help but remember how weird I felt after not getting drafted. I didnāt expect to be in this position. Almost all my friends that I trained with and knew were taken off the board by the fourth round. At 23 years old, there were a lot of emotions running around my head about not getting drafted, mainly embarrassment and frustration. I just threw the worst draft party (didn't get drafted). Then after speaking with my agent and chief, I remembered that I still had an opportunity to do what I was trying to do. Fast forward, by the time I left the NFL, I was one of the last ten standing at my position. Thatās the message. This week letās recognize that so long as we have an opportunity, we have what we what need. The halftime score is never as important as the final score. #MusaMondays #MondayMotivation
